John Snyder III
John has been with the agency since 1978. He became president of Snyder Insurance in 1996. He is a graduate of Marquette University with a BS in Business Administration and an Accounting Major. He places his focus on corporate administration, along with retirement planning and pension plan designs. He is a tax specialist for life, health and estate planning. He was a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants for over 20 years. John serves on many community boards and committees in the Oconomowoc area.
John Casper, CPCU
John is a graduate of John Carroll University. He was the Vice President of the Commercial Lines Department until January 2011. He has been a Commercial Insurance professional for over 35 years. He joined the agency in 1975. John is a member of the Society of Property and Casualty Underwriters. He is licensed in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida.
Mike Walden
Mike has been with Snyder Insurance since 1998. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. His specialty is workers compensation and the integrated benefits. He coordinates annual seminars for our clients on important industry related topics. Recently, these have included legal causation, OSHA regulations and positioning yourself to win workers comp cases. He believes that is important to provide continuing education to our clients and our community about how changes in the industry will affect them. He is pleased to be able to offer his services to the community where he and his family live.
Tom Rutledge
Tom Rutledge has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is able to help his clients with his expertise in Workers Compensation, OSHA Compliance and Safety Programs. Tom has worked with businesses of all sizes from 10-1000 employees. He has a B.S. from U.W. Whitewater. He is actively involved in the communities where he lives and works. Tom provides education to his clients, helping them to reduce their risk. He comes up with solutions to their needs so his clients can focus on running their businesses. He has vast experience in the Manufacturing, Contracting and Service industries.
Matthew Rohde, AINS
Matthew joined Snyder Insurance in 2009 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a degree in Organizational Communication. He works with Manufacturers, Restaurants, Churches, Not for Profit Groups and a variety of other types of businesses to help them with their insurance needs. In 2012, he also took over as Select Accounts Manager for the Commercial Department. He firmly believes in upholding the highest standards in business and moral integrity; both of which he believes are intimately intertwined.
Lisa Lessner, CISR
Lisa Lessner is a Senior Account Manager in the Commercial Lines Department. She has been in the insurance industry for over 16 years. She has a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from UM-Madison. She started with Snyder Insurance in 2001. Lisa says that she loves helping people find answers to their problems and tries to service her customers in a way that she would want to be serviced.
Mary Williamson
Mary has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years. She has worked in Property & Casualty with her primary focus on customer service. She believes that a real person should answer your call and provide an answer to you within 24 hours. She enjoys educating her customers about their insurance coverage. Mary joined Snyder because of the high level of respect that she holds for the Property & Casualty agents who she knew at Snyder and because of Snyder’s reputation in the industry.
Barb McFadden, WISC ACSR
Barb is the Manager for the Personal Lines Department. She has her Wisconsin ACSR and WISC designations. She has been working in insurance for over 35 years and has been with Snyder Insurance since 1990. Barb is here for her clients and says that she is always available to answer coverage questions. She travels out to businesses to do Benefit Fairs upon request. These are for employers who like to offer their employees the added benefit of having experienced insurance agent share knowledge to help their employees make decisions on their own personal policies.
Penny Weber
Penny has been in the insurance industry since 2004. Before that, she was the Executive Director of the Hartland Chamber of Commerce for 7 years. She loves the staff, the philosophy and the hometown charm of working at Snyder Insurance. She has lived in Oconomowoc for the last 20+ years and is glad to be working locally with a company that is very community oriented. She enjoys getting to know her clients and their families. She wants to make sure they are adequately covered so there are no surprises during a claim. She likes to save them money too!
Carissa Fairman, CISR
Carissa came to the Snyder Insurance team with 11 years in the Insurance Industry. Her wide variety of experience includes all aspects of Personal Insurance, including working for independent agents and direct writers. She holds a CISR designation and was asked to serve on the PIA (Professional Independent Agents) Young Professional Committee. She enjoys working in the independent agency because she can offer clients choices and the insurance products to best suit the their individual needs.
Cheryl Lindquist
Cheryl Lindquist is the Manager of our Employee Benefits Department. Prior to working in the insurance industry, her background was in Office and HR Management. She spent 15 years as an Account Executive, specializing in Self-Funding. She also spent 2 years working with companies and third party administrators across the country, conducting HIPAA Privacy Audits. Cheryl has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in Employee Benefits and strives to help clients to understand the complicated, ever-changing insurance industry. She always treats her clients as she wants to be treated.
Carmen Winkelman
Carmen has been in the insurance business since 1997. She is an Account Executive in the Employee Benefits Department. She has extensive experience in third party administration, group insurance and consulting. Her clients are her first priority. Whether it is returning phone calls, conducting employee meetings or addressing problems, Carmen gives her clients the special attention they need to deliver the best possible benefits packages to their employees.
Dianne Ogorzalek
Dianne is an Account Manager who prides herself in the service that Snyder provides their customers. She has over 20 years of experience in insurance, including Sales Administration, Human Resources, Claims and Employee Benefits. After obtaining her BS in Business Management, Dianne started with Snyder Insurance in 1995. She has been working with employers of all sizes ever since, specializing in group health and ancillary lines.
Kristen Herriot
Kristen Herriot had a working relationship with Snyder Insurance since 2002. She joined our staff in 2006. She came to us with a background in employee benefits. She has her BS from U.W. La Crosse. Kristen wants to be proactive rather than reactive when dealing with her clients to come up with the best healthcare choices. She understands that every client has different needs. She wants to be the resource that helps her clients to develop the best possible plan for their particular situation.
Lois Stock
Lois has worked In Account Management for Snyder Insurance since 1994. She has a widespread knowledge of products available. By listening carefully to her clients, she can analyze those products best suited to them. Lois welcomes challenging questions and uses them to understand how she can meet the needs of her clients. They appreciate the professional and courteous service that they receive from her.
Susan Walk
Susan began working for Snyder Insurance in 1993. She survived a 3 hour interview with John Snyder Jr. John Snyder III and John Casper and has been here ever since! She has worked in Employee Benefits, HR and Accounting. She is the HR Director and the Accounting Manager for Snyder. She is working on her SPHR Certification and was designated an Officer of the company in 2008. Susan has implemented a wellness program at Snyder that others have used as a model for improving the health and welfare of their employees while lowering healthcare costs. Her favorite part of her job is working with the staff at Snyder. She loves the great people she works with.
Janet Evans
Janet started working in her father’s business when she was 14. Her background in the insurance industry began in 1979 as a typist and eventually turned into a Senior Claims Examiner.
She worked in billing and data entry before becoming a Claims Examiner, Supervisor, Manager and finally Director of Claims for H.E.P Administrators, which was located in the Snyder building. Her background in insurance, claims management and customer service, brings her back to the Snyder building again. When asked about her customer service philosophy, Janet says she sums it up as “Listen first, promise good and deliver better.”
Suzy Jahnke
Suzy is a receptionist at Snyder Insurance. Her background is in customer service and third party administration. Suzy is known for her cheerful disposition and welcoming attitude. She is always willing to lend a hand or an ear to our clients. Suzy enjoys getting to the bottom of questions that clients may have and likes to help them out. Suzy is there to answer all of your calls and your questions with a smile.
Bill Sheahan
Bill comes to us as a Financial Representative with The Principal Financial Group in Milwaukee, WI.
Bill began his financial career in 1992 on the Trading Floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He started out as a runner and worked his way up to being a successful Floor Trader. Bill also spent several years in the marine industry where he provided excellent customer service to his clients. Bill makes his home in Waukesha with his wife Ann and their five Children. His philosophy is that “We can change someone’s life everyday with the knowledge we have and the services we provide”
Debbie Thurow
Debbie is one of our two receptionists at Snyder Insurance. She has experience in third party administration and customer service. Debbie is willing to do whatever it takes to lend a helping hand to our clients and our staff. Our customers appreciate how she goes the extra mile for them. She is a great resource for clients who call with questions. She is there to assist you.
Kyle Knutson
Kyle joined the Snyder team this year. He has a degree in Accounting and will finish his IT- Computer Support degree this spring. His background is in sales, and service and in computer repair and recycling. He enjoys repairing, rebuilding and recycling computers in his free time. This has given him a variety of experiences in hardware and software installation and configuration. He is well versed in with different computer programs and has worked in networking and web programming.
Teresa Jurgella
Teresa is an Accounting Assistant. She has been working in the Accounting Department since 2000. She helps out in a variety of areas. She is known for her cheerful disposition and her attention to detail in her work.
Joyce Gerow
Joyce brings a variety of skills to Snyder Insurance. She has experience in HR, Accounting, the Medical Field and Insurance. Prior to rejoining Snyder Insurance, Joyce worked for H.E P Administrators as the Accounting and HR Manager. Joyce has worked for the Snyder family for 12 years. Joyce likes the family atmosphere here and the Snyder team is glad to have her back!
